The European Union-Armenia SME Fund, a private equity fund managed by Amber Capital Armenia and supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), invested USD30 million in funding for the “Walnut Farms LLC” company. The investment will be directed to the acquisition of around 100 hectares of land in Armavir region to establish new orchards and the construction of a walnut processing workshop. This will create new jobs and help implement international best practices in the agricultural sector of Armenia. Legelata advised with performance of due diligence of the target, negotiation of agreements and assistance in closing the transaction.
