InterActive Corp is the owner of more than 100 media and internet brands all over the world. In the result of Legelata’s legal assistance, InterActiveCorp avoided risks of further challenge of acquisition transaction and successfully obtained the Pixomatic App.
The issue in the process of transaction was conducting of a thorough due diligence to reveal all the risks the company can face in case it acquires the application, mostly related to the transfer of IP rights on trademarks and domain names. The due diligence showed that there was the risk of vertical concentration should the parties agree on the sale/purchase of the application. Hence, the acquisition was priory agreed and approved with the Antitrust Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
