LEGELATA INTRODUCES LEGISLATIVE INITATIVE

The Coronavirus (Covid 19) disaster which afflicted the whole world, unfortunately, has caused a great damage to the humanity, becoming a cause of many deaths, paralyzing the world economy. The fight against the epidemic expects undertaking more courageous steps, that is why Legelata LLC considering some gaps in the legislative changes, developed a draft to amend the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia and sent it to Ministry of Health of RA for further consideration. The draft is aimed at regulating the relations between employer-employee in the epidemic conditions and it assumes the changes in the several articles of the law, particularly

  1. The amendments offer the employer to have a right to set at his own expense a mandatory requirement of receiving a preventative vaccination against the Coronavirus disease (Covid 19). The violation of the receiving vaccination requirement is considered to be the violation of the internal disciplinary rules of the company, except those cases, when the employee has contraindications against receiving a preventative vaccination of the Coronavirus disease (Covid 19).
  2. The amendments offer to establish a mandatory requirement for the employees to receive the preventative vaccination against the Coronavirus disease (Covid 19), if their activity is included in the list of defined professions by the authorized body of the healthcare of the Republic of Armenia, the functions of which connected with the high risk of spreading the infectious diseases.

We are full of hope, that this additions will serve for welfare of our nation. And the vaccination of a large part of the society within the framework of our suggested project, in its turn will assist to the preventing of the Coronavirus disease and neutralization of the enormous damages caused by it.
